It’s finally the weekend! It’s time to sit down and relax.
Or maybe you’re the adventurous type? Are you looking for something special to
do this week? There are a few events set for next week around Palestine that
may pique your interest. Don’t forget that June 16th is Father’s
day!
June 16, Sunday:
Come visit Red Fire Grille on Sunday Evening for Father’s
Day! In addition to their normal menu, they’ll be serving Prime Rib. Prix Fixe
includes a medium rare prime rib, a salad with choice of dressing, truffled
mashed potatoes and julienne vegetables. By reservation only.
June 18, Tuesday:
Come to the Schulman Theatres Dogwood 6 for 50 cent movies
at 9 am! This special will run every Tuesday through the summer, with proceeds
benefiting a local charity. Every week will show a different family movie. This
Tuesday will feature Rio, an animated film following a domesticated blue macaw
named Blu as he adventures through his unfamiliar homeland in Rio de Janeiro.
June 22, Saturday:
Join the Dogwood Jamboree for all American country music!

It’s also $15 at the door on show night, at the Civic Center. It’s good, clean fun for the family. For
advanced tickets, you can also visit Cavender’s, The Dogwood Diner, Hometown
Pharmacy and Bishop’s Brisket House.
